Projects
Reflection
During the creation of this project, I found myself learning something new each time I would edit my video. It was exciting to learn about a new artist and their contributions to their artistry. This project was both creative and challenging. For example, finding the right software that was compatible with my computer and learning to navigate the system was a challenge that took a lot of time. I also learned how important it is to be consistent with picture and video sizes and ratios so the quality of the video can be more cohesive. I think this is a fun project I could see myself using in my future classrooms, but I would like to incorporate videos as well. For photography, students can recreate images of their chosen artist and include their own original photography.

I feel very thankful to have been able to collaborate with my amazing peers for a lesson that is immersive and meaningful. Our group had great communication that made splitting up roles and asking for feedback a smooth process. Being that this is my second experience making a collaborative lesson, I can say that I enjoyed the process of applying different perspectives. I also feel that cross-curricular lessons in the future can be a good way to demonstrate effective group work for our students. When you are open to listening to each other and trying new ideas, anything is possible! I am very proud of my colleagues and their creative efforts into both their roles and their teacher samples. This project was a fun and engaging way to get students to think about the environmental impact of waste and the micro ways we can make a big difference by reusing some of it. I enjoyed creating a junk journaling activity and example for the anticipatory set using a new platform I was introduced to.
